yes www

When setting up the domain for this I remembered the old no-www site and it's counterpart yes-www and remembered there being compelling reasons to put your site on a subdomain and www being the one people expect it makes the most sense. Unfortunately it looks like the yes-www site isn't around but thankfully archive.org has it archived

My experience is that since DNS doesn't specify ports or anything like that, setting an A record of your root domain to a shared platform like bear blog means my domain won't be able to host other services at the root domain easily. I'm not sure if I'll use my domain for anything else but I like to keep the options open.

So I opted for making this at www and having the root domain do a redirect.

Maybe I should mirror the old yes-www site's contents somewhere, seems like no-www is winning the war by virtue of still having a live site lol.
